It would be really great when they can go solid state so the cars could be lighter, and possibly the batteries would get where they were not so expensive to replace.
Hi @mz3boy That is really interesting to hear all the positives about the i4. Thanks for posting all that. About how many miles do you drive in a week?
Did you do anything special for Valentine's Day? I had a bit of chocolate, but nothing special.
I am looking forward to the after VDay candy sales. So, did you do anything?
And here are some flowers in honor of Valentine's Day.
That sounds great. Was it in one trip or did you stop overnight? And when you stopped, where did you charge it? Private or public area? And about how long did it take to fully charge it after that trip?
I'm seeing on the news about how Chicago is having many EV/Teslas not charging as quickly as they should. This is concerning. I think I'd need a way to charge at home when I get an EV. We don't usually get really cold like Chicago, but we in the southern US are down to 5 or 6 at night and...
Most of the US seems to be having bad weather. Especially Southern states with very cold temperatures and many are having snow and ice.
Are these vehicles heavy due to the battery weight? And aren't the batteries distributed under a large part of the body so not heavier in the front or back...
I'm wondering about one of the fire blankets I've seen advertised. Suppose to work on stove fires, and on engines. Where would a fire be likely to happen on an EV?
I was going to window shop a new i4 for myself and pulled up the BMW web page. I was going to use the Build to Order feature and it just did not work. I wanted to see what features and colors they had available.
Has anyone else "window shopped" and tried out the Build Your Own feature?
Reversing into a parking space? That is not something I'm use to seeing. There is a new shopping area and they have the slanted parking to be reversed into. Those have always been forward pull into spaces until this new shopping area.
I was looking into range extenders I like the idea of having a separate way to charge the batteries as you go along. I'd feel more secure knowing the batteries had more charging.
Welcome to the forum. I hope some people answer your questions as I'm looking at getting an i4. I just want to check it out well since it's still new technology.
