    Blown out tires

TIRE UPDATE installed super cool Pirelli pzero as +3, 19" staggered fitment after my disaster with the OEM Goodyears AND less than 5500 miles of wife's gentle driving the rear tires are basically slicks, done. Front tires are at 75%, good shape. Not cool

Did I make the right choice getting BMW i4?

You'll find that on the EV there is no adjustment to the front tire wheel Caster camber or toe in

Did I make the right choice getting BMW i4?

charging infrastructure varies by region and really will be the same for any EV other than Tesla, which is the best by far. I've traveled out of town and yes, you need better data to enjoy the trip.

Did I make the right choice getting BMW i4?

there is very little if any adjustment in the front wheel, camber and toe in and there are no custom parts yet for the suspension. Maybe you need different tires, which are the OEM and how did you order it? which model? if you are looking for performance ride you need to have ordered the M...

    Blown out tires

I believe this could be avoid by considering the weight and torque when engineering the tires and camber toe in. Pirelli NOW makes an EV version of the P Zero and Scorpion with added tread and side construction focusing on the inner edge. Unfortunately they don't make them in very many sizes in...

    Blown out tires

anyone else having rear tire issues? I have the OEM Goodyear Eagle sports, 19" and around 18,000 miles one of the rear tires blew apart. wear down to the metal cords on the inside edge only, totally uneven wear and the catastrophic failure. Fortunately my wife was merely driving around town and...

    Good choice for tire replacement

My second rear tire just blew apart yesterday. Less than 20k miles and both rear tires have excessive inside wear, then massive failure. After the first failure I had it all aligned perfectly. Anyone else having rear tire issues?

    Good choice for tire replacement

the OEMs are not EV specific. Mine came with Goodyear Eagle Sport all seasons, decent, not fantastic. I've never run Goodyears on a car. I compared them to Michelin, PIrelli - all about the same price within a couple hundred dollars a set. anyone have experience yet? I think I'm going with the P...

I leased three i3 prior. didn't know if it was the car I wanted to buy and knew tech would change and it did, my last i3s was the best of the bunch. the i4 is worth buying...

    Long-term cost savings

I've owned three i3 since 2013 and bought the i4 august 2022 and now have 18,000 miles on it. we save $7500 in US Fed credit and on the first two i3's WA state didn't charge tax or license fees, so another $4000, add $4000 in gas each of the last ten years and hardly any maintenance AND that we...

    Highest mileage recorded

320 miles from Portland Oregon to Pullman WA, not many charging opportunities after Tri Cities WA. We stopped at EA in Hermiston on the way out and back, which is half way. Charged to 95% in 35 minutes. My wife drove three of the four legs and averaged 4.2 miles/kwh at 65mph. I drove the last...
