I’ve been driving my BMW i4 for about 2 months now and have logged around 1,500 km, and I’m feeling pretty conflicted about it. I ordered the car back in May, and it finally arrived this August. If I am being honest, it wasn’t my top choice, but after testing a few options, I settled on the i4 for its features and price.

To be fair, the driving experience has been good, and the range is great for my needs....Charging has also been decent too, but I've run into some issues with the local charging network that have made me hesitant about taking long trips. The suspension is mostly comfortable, although I do notice some rocking at low speeds.

The biggest turnoff for me is the steering, it doesn’t center properly....and the dealership insists that it’s normal, can anyone confirm this? The service has been lacking as well, which adds to my frustration. I really love the car, but these issues are making me think twice if I made the right call.

The steering should pretty much center itself within a few degrees....usually just needs the front wheel caster angle checked.

there is very little if any adjustment in the front wheel, camber and toe in and there are no custom parts yet for the suspension. Maybe you need different tires, which are the OEM and how did you order it? which model? if you are looking for performance ride you need to have ordered the M performance options and 19" or 20" wheel/tire package. if you did not, you have a nice five seat commuter sedan

charging infrastructure varies by region and really will be the same for any EV other than Tesla, which is the best by far. I've traveled out of town and yes, you need better data to enjoy the trip.

It’s the standard eDrive40 model with OEM tires, but I may consider upgrading to a performance tire package for better handling if this doesn’t improve things. thanks

That makes sense, and I agree, regional differences in charging networks can make a big difference for non-Tesla EVs. I’ll definitely look into better planning tools for trips, thanks!

You'll find that on the EV there is no adjustment to the front tire wheel Caster camber or toe in
Thanks for the info...It sounds like the steering issue might be tied to the design. I just wish the dealership could provide better support to address my concerns.
